The Meadows Festival has always been a draw, held at the same tine every year and usually suffers the Scottish climate. But not this year. A splendid Summer’s afternoon greeted a packed Meadows. A treasure trove of unusual memorabilia and retro attire. The Charity theme is also a strong inclusion. On a perfect day like today the mood was jovial and welcoming, with smiles abounding.

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to witness Jamie & Shoony’s launch of their new Long player. A calling from Krisna had a lot to do with it. And the path of love. Of Course!!!! So I took full opportunity this afternoon to bare witness and totally rock out to one of Scotland’s best unsigned talents. A young quartet that Divine has been championing for a number of years now. Divine’s most recent live spectacular that I had the joy to review was The Yellow Movement’s amazing achievement at the Yellowlands night at the Barrowlands in Glasgow. Today’s live draw at the Meadows was a gig rescheduled from last year, because of high winds.
No really, These guys are so good that they are sharing the bill with Grandmaster Flash and The Sugarhill Gang tonight at the Liquid Rooms. So this Afternoon’s performance on a stage that perfectly elevated this fully-formed talent, proved to be the perfect warm up.
A Band On the Rise.
Of Course.
5 Stars.
